Mona was the type who always had to be in control, which made her secret even more decadent. Last Friday, she came to dinner. What happened afterward became the most sensual encounter I've ever experienced. Sometimes life is very, very good.

I decided to barbecue the lamb chops and serve them with blanched asparagus and some baked new red potatoes. I cut the small potatoes into wedges and was drizzling olive oil on them when she rang the doorbell. She was wearing a white, sleeveless blouse and a loose, flowing black skirt that draped her legs to just below the knees. The top two buttons on the blouse were undone. I was treated to a nice view of cleavage created by her firm white breasts. Not overly large, but each would be a handful I thought as she smiled at me. Her long brown hair flowed down to the middle of her back, and she pulled a strand away from her pretty face, arching her thick dark eyebrows at me.
“Well, are you going to invite me in?” Shoving a bottle of red wine into my chest, she pushed past me and stepped inside.
I noticed the wine was an impudent selection, a little cabernet. I closed the door and followed her into the kitchen, watching her rounded bottom bounce underneath the skirt.
“You’re doing this all wrong,” she proclaimed, and began to re-organize my entire meal.
“It’s good to see you, too,” I said to her back as she added more salt to the potatoes before putting them on the baking sheet.
I opened the wine and poured us each a glass while she cooked the asparagus. She chastised me for not letting the wine breathe, and apparently the only thing I did right was serving the lamb chops medium-well. I managed to light the candles properly, and we talked of many things over dinner. I found out I was wrong about most of them. I was just guessing at this point, but I’d bet Mona didn’t get a lot of second dates, even though she was a real beauty.
After dinner we sat together on the sofa, and knowing the Cubs were in the National League playoffs, I suggested we watch a little television.
“If you must,” she replied, giving me a disgusted look.
